Remote Area Medical (PDF, 328 KB)
Remote Area Medical (RAM), established in 1985, is located in Rockford, Tennessee. RAM offers medical, vision, and dental care using portable equipment. Volunteers provide services in a variety of settings including fairgrounds and schools. In 2015, RAM volunteers treated nearly 30,000 individuals. Dental services include screenings, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings, extractions, scaling, oral surgery, and patient education. The clinic accepts all individuals on a first-come, first-serve basis.

ResiDental, LLC (PDF, 322 KB)
ResiDental, LLC is based in Spartanburg, South Carolina and offers portable dental hygiene services to older adults in nursing homes in upstate South Carolina. Services include screenings, professional cleanings, fluoride treatments, and caregiver and provider education. Dental hygienists work with staff members in long-term care facilities to identify oral health problems and advocate for and implement improved oral health practices.

Rice Regional Dental Clinic (PDF, 326 KB)
The Rice Regional Dental Clinic is located in Willmar, Minnesota and operates as a partnership between Rice Memorial Hospital and the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dental and dental hygiene students, under supervision of a faculty member, provide individuals in twelve counties with basic oral health services and patient education. The Rice Regional Dental Clinic targets rural and underserved populations of all ages.

Rockville Nursing Home LTC Pilot Project (PDF, 350 KB)
The Rockville Nursing Home Long-Term Care Pilot Project was established in 2014. It targets older adults living in nursing homes and is staffed by volunteer dental professionals trained in geriatric dental care. The pilot program hopes to increase the presence of dental professionals in long-term care facilities. Specific services include screenings, cleanings, fluoride treatments, denture repairs, and patient and caregiver education.

Ronald McDonald Care Mobile (PDF, 325 KB)
The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program provides mobile health services to children around the world. The program focuses on providing preventive dental services, as well as oral health education, treatment, and referrals. Outside of its dental services, the program offers a wide variety of general health services ranging from immunizations to ophthalmology, tailored to individual community needs.
