Taunton Oral Health Center (PDF, 329 KB)
Taunton Oral Health Center is a safety net dental clinic located in Taunton, Massachusetts. Services include screenings, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, x-rays, fillings, extractions, dentures, crowns, bridges, scaling, root canals, oral surgery, referrals, and patient education. The center treats all ages. The clinic accommodates low-income individuals, individuals without insurance, and the underinsured by offering different payment options.

Tioga Mobile Dental Services (PDF, 372 KB)
Tioga Mobile Dental Services, launched in 2003, operates in Tioga County, New York. The program was featured in the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) Model Practice Database. The goal of the program is to provide an easy-to-access dental home for the entire county. It is funded through insurance revenue, grants, and community donations. The program targets underserved children and adults who lack access to a dental provider. The mobile unit consists of a large tractor-trailer that travels to Tioga County’s schools during the school year and is located at a senior center for the summer months. Services include screenings, cleanings, fluoride treatments, x-rays, extractions, and fillings. All Tioga County residents are eligible for these services. Commercial dental insurance is accepted and there is a sliding fee scale available for those without dental coverage.

Tooth Mobile (PDF, 368 KB)
Tooth Mobile, established in 1999, is a mobile dental program that offers services throughout California. The program currently has three mobile dental units and is designing two additional units. These units travel across the state and are staffed by dental workers who speak English, Spanish, Cantonese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, French, and Russian, thus providing inclusive dental healthcare for all. Services include screenings, sealants, x-rays, fillings, extractions, crowns, bridges, dentures, root canals, and oral surgery. The program also targets low-income children without insurance, teaching them proper brushing techniques and providing overall dental hygiene education. Tooth Mobile works with Denti-Cal and Healthy Families to provide affordable dental care for low-income Californians.

Tooth Wisdom: Get Smart About Your Mouth (PDF, 327 KB)
Tooth Wisdom: Get Smart About Your Mouth, established in 2014, has been implemented across five states: Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, and Tennessee. The program offers oral health education for individuals and caregivers focusing on older adults. To date, the program has served more than 1,000 individuals and held 60 one-hour workshops led by dental hygienists. The program targets older adults who live independently (65 years and older) and caregivers in senior centers, community centers, churches, and libraries. Program impact is measured by administering a pre- and post-test at oral health education programs.
